Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

Jubilancy.ai exists to help you understand your inner life. That mission only works if you trust us with your most personal thoughts. This policy is straightforward because your privacy is non-negotiable.

What we collect

  • Account info — Your name and email (and your profile photo if you sign in with Google). You can sign in with Google or with a one-time email link.
  • Reflections — The text you write into Jubilancy, plus voice-transcribed text when you use the Speak feature, and the AI responses generated for you. Voice audio is processed for transcription only and is never stored on our servers — see Voice transcription below.
  • Usage data — Analytics about page views and how the app is used, to understand and improve the product. We use Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity (which records anonymized interaction sessions — clicks, scrolls, and navigation — to show us where the app is confusing). These tools never receive your reflection content.
  • Advertising measurement — When you arrive from one of our ads and sign up or subscribe, we report that event (e.g. "signed up", "subscribed") to Meta (Facebook/Instagram) so we can measure which ads work. Your email is sent only as a one-way cryptographic hash for matching — never in readable form, and never your reflections.
  • Payment info — Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

How we use it

Your reflections are stored so Jubilant can learn your patterns over time. They are never read by our team, never sold, and never used to train AI models.

  • To generate AI reflections via the Claude API (Anthropic).
  • To detect patterns across your past entries and deepen your insights over time.
  • To generate your Jubilancy Score, Joy GPS, and Memory of Your Becoming.
  • To send you weekly meaning reports by email (only if you're a Pro user; you can opt out).
  • To process subscription payments and manage your account.
  • To enable the Inner Circle feature when you choose to share reflections with friends you invite.

What we never do

  • We never read your private reflections. Not even the founder. The admin dashboard does not display reflection content. Only the AI reads your entries, and only to generate your reflections and insights.
  • We never sell your data to anyone, ever.
  • We never train AI models on your reflections.
  • We never share your reflections with third parties for advertising.
  • We never expose your reflections publicly unless you explicitly choose "Public" visibility — and even then, public posts are reviewed before appearing.

Voice transcription

When you tap Speak, your voice is converted to text. The route depends on your browser:

  • Chrome, Edge, Android Chrome, Safari — your browser's built-in speech recognition handles transcription. On Chrome and Edge, audio is sent to Google's speech service. On Safari (especially newer iOS), it's handled on-device. We never receive the raw audio in this path.
  • Firefox and our mobile app — your browser doesn't expose a built-in speech API, so we record the audio locally and send it to OpenAI Whisper for transcription. OpenAI does not train on API data and deletes it after 30 days. We discard the audio as soon as the transcript returns; only the transcribed text is saved with your reflection.

You can use Jubilancy without voice at all — typing works the same and never leaves your device until you save the entry.

Who has access to your data

Your reflections are processed by these third parties to make Jubilancy work:

  • Anthropic (Claude API) — Generates AI reflections, syntheses, and (when you tap Polish) cleans up typos and grammar. Anthropic does not train on API data by default.
  • Pinecone — Stores semantic embeddings of your reflections so the app can surface patterns across your past entries (the "Memory of Becoming" feature). Each user's reflections are isolated in a private namespace and are never used to train AI models. Pinecone does not train on customer data.
  • OpenAI (Whisper API) — Transcribes voice on Firefox and the mobile app. Audio is sent only when you use Speak in those environments, is never stored on our servers, and OpenAI deletes it after 30 days. Not used for training.
  • ElevenLabs — When a Pro user plays a reflection aloud in Felt's voice, that reflection's text is sent to ElevenLabs to synthesize the audio. It is used only to generate the voice, is not used for training, and we don't store the audio.
  • Google Firebase — Stores your reflections, handles authentication, and runs the database.
  • Vercel — Hosts the website and runs serverless functions.
  • Stripe — Processes subscription payments.
  • Resend — Sends account and lifecycle emails — the welcome, reflection-pattern emails, and (for Pro users) weekly reports. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

Your rights

  • You can delete any reflection at any time from your History page.
  • You can delete your entire account by emailing us. We permanently delete your reflections and account data from our systems and instruct our processors (such as the Pinecone embeddings) to delete theirs. Residual copies may persist briefly in encrypted backups before they rotate out, and analytics/advertising events already shared are governed by those providers' own retention.
  • You can export your reflections by emailing us.
  • You can opt out of weekly emails in your account settings.

Children

Jubilancy is not intended for users under 13. If you're a parent and believe your child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and notify Pro users by email. Your continued use of Jubilancy after changes means you accept the updated policy.
